On December 2nd, 2004, at approximately 11.30am, police responded to apartment #903 at 226 Rebecca Street in Hamilton. Upon entering the apartment, they discovered the body of a 79 year old grandmother.
Thelma Clapham died as a result of blunt force trauma in her ninth floor apartment, where she had lived alone for the past four years. There was no sign or forced entry and police have yet to determine a motive for the killing.

The Hamilton Police Services Board has authorized a reward of $5000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this horrendous crime.
